If you love artisan cheeses and cheesemakers, we’ve got exciting news!

Launching in November, The Cheese Trail is launching nationwide home delivery of carefully curated collections of artisan cheeses, handcrafted chocolates and accoutrements.

As California’s preeminent resource for discovering farmstead, small batch cheeses, the Cheese Trail - created in 2010 by our sister Vivien Straus - has connected countless thousands of cheese lovers with handcrafted cow, sheep, goat … even buffalo milk … cheesemakers. Indeed, the Cheese Trail has become a critical lifeline for artisan cheesemakers, many of whom attribute over 50% of their sales to the well known Cheese Trail printed map, downloadable app, and comprehensive website.

However, Covid lockdown hit cheesemakers hard and, in order to further support California’s 75 or so remaining artisan cheesemakers, Vivien and her brother Michael (who, separately, co-manage Straus Home Ranch), are launching this new initiative in order to expand on the Cheese Trail’s vision by offering direct-to-customer sales and marketing.

For this inaugural first season, Cheese Trail is offering curated collections for the Christmas holiday and another for Valentine’s Day. Additionally, Club Members will receive discounts on cheese shipments, as well as the opportunity to join in fun-filled, on-farm cheese tasting & tour of Straus Home Ranch.
